Metabolism Boosting Smoothie Recipe

If you are looking to lose some weight this recipe might interest you.

Have you ever heard of basal metabolism

In a nutshell, the basal metabolism is the amount of energy your body uses to maintain vital cellular activity, respiration, and circulation when it's fasting and resting. It depends on many factors, such as age, sex, weight, physical activity, etc.

Knowing your basal metabolic rate (BMR) can be used to help you gain, lose or maintain your weight. Simply, if you want to maintain your weight consume the same number of calories that you burn. Do you want to lose weight? Consume fewer calories. Do you want to gain weight? Consume more calories. Easy right?

Boosting your basal metabolism allows you to efficiently lose weight in the long term. The more you optimize it, the more it will efficiently burn calories while doing practically nothing. If you want to take a deep dive into metabolism then check this blog post on how to boost your metabolism where we also shared a list of foods that help you increase your metabolism.
